Anglesey,what a place.

I suppose its like most places ,if you go at the right time of year, you can have an unspoilt gem.The picture above is of Benllech beach .We went at Easter and it was perfect.Beautiful beaches all over the Island, uncommercialised, but with plenty of hotels, pubs and eating places for all tastes and budgets. The better restaurants you should make a reservation.

Anglesey is a fantastic place for wildlife .Southstack is a RSPB reserve and I specifically went there to get a photograph of a Chough.I had been before and new it was a good site to see them.

Plenty of other birds to see on the site and managed to photograph my first rock pipit.I didn’t see the Chough until most people had left the reserve .Where I photographed this one looking for scraps around the picnic tables.0G3A0216 (2)

Beaumaris is the place to go to see Puffin Island. However being Easter I didn’t think we would see one .The skipper of the boat to the island however, was really knowledgeable, pointing out the seabirds whenever she saw them. The boat trip is amazing value at around £10.

Sightings included Puffins ,guillemot, razorbills , kittiwakes , shags, eider duck and cormorant

Puffin Island has a breeding colony of seals and the skipper gives you plenty of opportunity to take photographs .0g3a9997.jpgGreat trip.

Llangefni also worth a visit particularly for red squirrels and its wooden pathway which takes you through the woods
