Originally we set out to go up the East Hill venicular railway which we’ve been up before and has fantastic views across the channel. The West Hill venicular railway is different. No views until you come out of the station, but worth the visit. The cost of the return visit is, for us baby boomers is £2.50p per person. Bargain! At the top is a great cafe which sells a variety of good food and drink.(No alcohol). It’s a great place for families and, if you are fit enough and want to, you can walk up to the top. There’s a park for the kids is up here, too.
Click on the pictures to get more information on the railway . I hope this is useful.
