Blue grey tanager.

The sexes are quite similar with this bird which has a life expectancy of 9-10 years.This tanager prefers gardens with trees but not a forest preferring the margins of rivers as a habitat.Our hotel had a river running through it and it was common in the grounds.

The Rusty blackbird.

These birds forage on wet ground eating insects ,small fish .Rather like a Turnstone that you find on English beaches this bird likes to flip leaves instead of stones.They will attack other birds and they tend to feed in flocks, although this was a solitary bird when photographed left behind during migration to the Mississippi Valley.They are not in danger globally and have a life expectancy of 9 years.
